St. Joseph Catholic School is proud to participate in the annual Steps for Students 5K, an event benefiting the 55 Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. This event provides an opportunity for our school community to come together in support of Catholic education while promoting health, wellness, and school spirit.

Event Details:

• Date: Saturday, February 8, 2025
• Location: Downtown Houston
• Schedule: The day will begin with a Sunrise Mass, followed by the sanctioned 5K race and a post-race celebration in the Catholic School Village.

Ways to Participate:
Participants can support St. Joseph Catholic School in a variety of ways, including:

• Registering for the 5K: Walk or run to show your school pride.
• Becoming a fundraising champion: Help raise funds to meet the unique needs of our school.
• Joining the festivities: Celebrate with the community at the Catholic School Village after the race.
• “Hit Snooze for Students” option: Participate virtually at your own convenience.
• Serving as a Steps Ambassador: Encourage family and friends to get involved and support our school.

In 2024, nearly 9,000 participants helped raise nearly $800,000 in support of Catholic schools. With your help, we can make 2025 an even greater success for St. Joseph Catholic School!

Schedule of Events (subject to change):
5:30 AM – 6:30  AM – School Catholic School Village set-up
7:00 A.M. – Sunrise Mass at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart
7:00 A.M. – Catholic School Village Opens
8:15 A.M. – Presentation of the David Guite Spirit Award & President’s Cup
8:30 A.M. – Timed 5K Start
8:40 A.M. – Untimed 5K & Family 1K Fun Run Start
9:30 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. – Post Race Party
12: 00 PM – Clean up and close down.
