Blue Jay Families,
After doing our best to listen to guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the Texas Education Agency (TEA), the Texas Conference of Catholic Bishops Education Department (TCCB ED), as well as our Catholic Schools Office (CSO) in order to formulate our plan. Compounded with general recommendations from these agencies, we have also factored in what may be most beneficial for the greater good of the health and safety of our school community - children, parents, at-risk family members at home, and our faculty and staff. While we are all eager to see our students and celebrate our time together, we understand that their safety and health as well as those of our family members are our priority.
In summary, we are looking to begin our Fall 2020 semester with the following conditions:
• St. Joseph will begin instruction virtually on Wednesday, August 12. More details will follow in an email containing documents delineating our operations.
• Review of conditions at the end of August will decide which direction the school may take beginning on Tuesday, September 8.
- If health conditions are poor in our area, the school may continue to operate 100% virtually.
- If health conditions improve in our area, we look forward to face-to-face instruction for those families who feel comfortable attending school while others may continue instruction at-home and virtually attend live-streamed classes as well as asynchronous, recorded lessons and assistance.
Registration is continuing and open for returning families and tours may be requested for new and prospective students. Should we return in-person, class sizes will be limited to fourteen ( 14) students per classroom to ensure social distancing. Preference will be given to those who register earlier as some of our classes are filling up quickly.
Questions and concerns may be directed to the school via phone or email.
