Twenty-three members of the St. Joseph Regional Catholic School National Jr. Beta Club attended the Texas State Convention at the Embassy Suites Frisco Hotel and Convention Center in Frisco, Texas on February 23-24, 2017.

In the individual competitions, Jorge Morfin received first place in the Division II Speech competition.  Isabel Peery received first place in the Division I Poetry and Division I Painting and a second place in the Division I Jewelry Design.  Verne Donato received second place in the Division I Science and Johanna Garcia received third place in Division I Language Arts.  In the club competitions, fifth graders Verne Donato, Johanna Garcia, Citlati, Marcos Martinez and Jayden Morfin, won first place in the Division I Tower of Power and Leah Dumanling, Cassandra Quinonez, Aracely Lopez, and Mikeala Jernsletten received third place for Banner​.
